DESCRIPTION:For the month of January\, we are reading Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingslover. Set in the mountains of Southern Appalachia\, this is a story of a boy born to a teenage mother in a single-wide trailer. With no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks\, caustic wit and a fierce talent for survival\, he braves the modern perils of foster care\, child labor\, derelict schools\, athletic success\, addiction and crushing losses. Copperhead speaks to a new generation of lost boys. We always welcome new members! Food and drink can be purchased at the restaurant. There’s always good fellowship.
