DESCRIPTION:For the month of February\, we are reading The Briar Club by Kate Quinn.  This is a haunting and beautiful story of female friendships in a Washington D.C. boarding house during the McCarthy era in 1950. At the Briar House\, all are female in the heart of the nation’s capital\, where secrets hide behind white picket fences. When the lovely\, mysterious widow\, Grace March\, moves into the attic; she draws her oddball collection of neighbors into unlikely friendship. Grace’s weekly attic dinner parties become a healing balm in their lives\, but she hides a terrible secret of her own. We always welcome new members!  Join every 4th Thursday of the month or only on occasion.  Food and drink can be purchased at the restaurant.  There’s always good fellowship.
